📖 關於海天書樓（Rock House Publishers）

　　海天書樓於1960年，由一群熱愛文字事工的基督徒專業人士創立。伴隨香港從南海一隅的小漁港，蛻變為國際城市與中外文化交流的中心，我們也一直致力成為華文基督教出版的重要基地。

　　“海天書樓”的名字，當中有其深意。“海天”二字來自“海為墨汁天為紙，共揮彩筆繪神恩”，意思是大家一同運用神的恩賜、才能，揮舞筆桿寫下祂的恩典，描繪上主的大愛，並運用一切現代傳播利器，把福音傳入萬千人心。“書樓”二字，則寓意華人的文字事工，有如初期教會一樣自馬可樓般發展起來。至於其英文名字“The Rock House Publishers”，當中“The Rock”解作“磐石”，屬靈上意指基督，代表海天書樓是以基督為基礎，《聖經》為依靠，向全世界宣揚福音。

　　我們深知好書難求，因此每本書從寫作、翻譯、審稿到印刷的過程，都嚴謹把關，務求適合不同年齡層的讀者閱讀。即使內容不花巧，卻如誠實朋友、忠誠伴侶，充滿着潔淨文字與美善筆觸，為個人、家庭與教會帶來智慧與靈命的滋養。

　　隨着多年發展，海天書樓已透過全球華人地區的三百五十多間實體書店，以及網上書店，把各款優質書籍、產品送達各地讀者。同時，海天書樓亦在中國內地，出版簡體中文版《中文聖經啟導本》及各款精選簡體中文版書籍，服侍廣大中國讀者。近年，我們亦積極發展電子書出版業務，並將本地優秀華文著作，翻譯成英文，續由外文出版社譯成其他語言版本，擴大其國際影響力。

　　六十多年來，凡印有海天書樓標誌的書籍、月曆、日曆和《聖經》，都是見證。不但見證海天書樓的使命，也見證無數讀者的生命更新，許多讀者甚至已是第二代、第三代信徒。海天書樓承諾，未來將繼續服事主內群體與廣大華人讀者，竭力完成“大使命”。

📖 About Rock House Publishers

Founded in 1960 by a group of Christian professionals passionate about the written word, Rock House Publishers has grown alongside Hong Kong—from a quiet fishing port on the South China Sea to a vibrant international city and crossroads of East and West. From the beginning, our mission has remained steadfast: to serve as a key hub for Chinese-language Christian publishing.

Our name, Rock House, carries deep meaning. The Chinese name “海天書樓” is inspired by the poetic imagery: “The sea as ink, the sky as parchment—together we paint God’s grace with colourful strokes.” It reflects our commitment to using God-given gifts and modern tools of communication to bear witness to His love and truth. The term “書樓” (book house) evokes the image of the early Church—where faith and teaching spread from an upper room, like the home of Mark in Acts. The English name “Rock House” points to Christ, the Rock, upon whom our ministry is firmly built, with the Bible as our foundation and the Gospel as our message to the world.

At Rock House, we recognize the challenge of finding high-quality Christian books. That’s why every title we publish—whether written, translated, or edited—is held to a rigorous standard. Our publications may not be flashy, but they are honest companions and faithful guides. Through clean prose and thoughtful insights, they nurture spiritual growth in individuals, families, and churches.

Today, Rock House Publishers reaches readers across the globe through more than 350 physical bookstores and online platforms. In mainland China, we publish the Simplified Chinese edition of the Chinese Study Bible, along with other selected titles. In recent years, we’ve also expanded into digital publishing and are working to translate outstanding Chinese works into English and beyond—helping Chinese voices reach a global audience.

Our publishing scope includes:

• The Chinese Study Bible, a ten-year project authored by Prof. Timothy Yu, founder of the Rock House Publishers, and leading Chinese Bible scholars

For over 60 years, every book, calendar, and Bible bearing the Rock House emblem  has told a story—not just of our publishing journey, but of transformed lives. Many of our readers are now second- or even third-generation believers.
